I remember while going through my divorce (this was 2nd marriage...SMH), I knew that my next move was to do more Hip-Hop. My heart is forever attached to it. I wanted to pay homage to my home state of SC. I wrote on the steps, as well. I will never forget (we still laugh at this to this day), sharing the song with Demallo (me rappin' the hook. He said, "I like the beat, I like the verses, I like the hook...I just don't llike YOU saying the hook!" We sat in his car listening over and over trying to figure out who we could get. Then, he started singing with the beat (just to be playing around), and I was like "yo, why don't you sing it?!" And the rest is history.
